Stay a little.
Notice a little more.
naturespacecreative is where my own artistic practice lives. Through making, writing and enquiry, I explore people, place, memory and change — and the things we choose to notice along the way.

Lines of enquiry
The places we carry
How do landscapes, familiar routes and shared spaces shape our sense of who we are?
The small things
Ordinary details, personal histories and the traces that stay with us.
Making something together
A commission, a shared enquiry or an invitation to take part in the creative work.
A glimpse of the work
everyone should sit under their own vine and fig tree and no-one should make them afraid

Working together
Follow a question.
See where it leads.
-
Notice
Begin with what draws you.
A place, a memory, a detail or a shared question can be enough to start.
-
Explore
Let the idea find its form.
Talk about a commission or collaboration, and agree the purpose, scope and fees where relevant.
-
Make & reflect
Stay open to what emerges.
Make, write, listen and respond. The enquiry can change as the work develops.
Can I bring a question rather than a commission?
Yes. You may be drawn to a place, a story or an idea without knowing its final form. A conversation can help us understand whether there is something to explore together.
Can the creative work connect with a community or place?
Yes. Place, relationships and belonging run through this practice. We can discuss a shared enquiry or participatory project and the people it would involve.
How does a collaboration begin?
Tell me what interests you, who is involved and what you hope might emerge. Where the conversation becomes commissioned work, scope and fees should be agreed first.
