Joanna Hartle FRSA consultancy

A clearer way
forward.

I offer Creative Industries & Education consultancy for cultural organisations, creative businesses and educators. I help you untangle an idea or challenge, bring people together and shape a plan you can work with.

A few places to begin

Space to think.
A way to act.

Possible starting points

Finding a direction

What matters here? What needs to change? We can look at the questions together and find useful next steps.

Bringing people together

Build relationships between cultural work, communities and the places they share.

Learning through doing

Develop workshops and learning programmes that invite people to take part, try things and build confidence.

First, tell me a little about where you are and what you’re hoping for.

Working together

A question, an idea,
a way forward.

  1. Listen

    Understand where you are.

Tell me about the work, the people involved and the question you’re trying to answer.

  2. Explore

    Look at the possibilities.

We’ll consider what might help, then agree the brief, approach and fees.

  3. Work together

    Make useful progress.

A shared plan, clear steps and space to respond as the work develops.

Do I need a finished brief?

No. You can begin with a challenge, a question or an idea that needs another perspective. Tell me who is involved, what you hope to achieve and any timing you already know.

Can we include creative practice?

Yes. Some place-based or participatory work may draw on both consultancy and creative practice. We can discuss which approach serves the work and agree that within the brief.

How are scope and fees agreed?

A first conversation helps clarify what you need. We then agree the scope, approach and fee before paid work begins.
